AS A CHURCH, WE BELIEVE IN
The One living and true God: the Creator of all things, existing eternally in three persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The unique divine inspiration of the Bible: its entire trustworthiness and its supreme authority in all matters of truth, doctrine and conduct.
The Father: the eternal, all powerful, all knowing, all wise, all loving Sovereign King and Sustainer of the Universe.
Jesus Christ: fully human and fully divine, who was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life, who assumed the judgment due to sinners through His substitutionary atoning death and who was bodily raised from the dead and ascended to heaven as Saviour and Lord.
The Holy Spirit: whose convicting and transforming power gives to all believers, through His indwelling presence, a new life and a new calling to obedient service.
The value and dignity of all people: created by God in His own image to live to glorify God, worship and serve Him in love and holiness, but alienated from God and each other because of our sin and guilt, and justly subject to God's wrath.
Justification by God's grace: to all who repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation which was purchased by Him on the cross at Calvary.
The Church: a living spiritual body whose members manifest in their worship and witness, disciple making and mutual love, their unity in the Holy Spirit.
The ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper: One signifying our incorporation into the Body of Jesus Christ our Lord, the other our intimate commemoration of His atoning death and ongoing communion with Him until He comes.
The victorious reign and future personal return of Jesus Christ: who will judge the people with justice and mercy, giving over the unrepentant to the eternal condemnation but receiving the redeemed into eternal life.
